For more than 15 years, the Park Ridge Farmers Market has connected members of the Park Ridge community with farmers from Illinois and other surrounding states. The market, which opens every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through October, offers community members the opportunity to browse a variety of fresh, local foods in addition to flowers and other products. More than a destination for local goods, the market also hosts live music and activities for children.
The Park Ridge Farmers Market grew out of an effort by the city’s then mayor, Marty Butler, to give Park Ridge residents access to fresh produce and a fun activity to enjoy on the weekends.
